Solid Waste

Accepted at the scale house Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM and Saturday 8AM - 12:30PM

Bring solid waste loads to the scale house. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Saturday 8:00 am to 12:30pm. There will be a $10.00 fee for all loads that are untarped or unsecured. Fees are as shown below:

Untarped / unsecured loads $10.00 per load (in addition to the per ton charge)
Member clean-up events $49.00 per ton
Woody Waste*: Clean brush, wood and pallets $44.00 per ton ($2.20 minimum up to 100 pounds)

*Woody waste is classified as trees and limbs less than six inches in diameter as well as pallets. These items are processed through our on-site wood mulching facility and sold back to the public.


Special Waste

Must be of the type allowed by law and acceptable to the Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority. Rate charged will be a rate set by the New River Resource Authority plus cost of transportation and handling.

Recycling Services

Please note: fees are waived for residents of Montgomery County for batteries, bulbs and electronics. You must show proof of residency with a driver's license or utility bill. Except for tires, personal items brought by (a) individuals residing in an Authority member jurisdiction, (b) a program sponsored by a member jurisdiction, are not subject to charges listed below; businesses and all others subject to charges listed below.

Recycling Processing Fees

Loads of single stream recyclables $30.00 per ton

Separated loads of corrugated cardboard may qualify for a rebate. The Authority charges interest at at the rate of 1.5% per month on the principal amount of delinquent accounts.
